The SW Hills Kiwanis Club participates in Multnomah Village’s “Multnomah Days” celebration each August. We serve a pancake breakfast on the morning of the parade, and donate the proceeds from the breakfast to various children’s and community charities.
Each year, the SW Hills Kiwanis Club hands out candy to Trick-or-Treaters in Multnomah Village. Here, Club members gathered to organize treats for 1,500 children. Special thanks to Joyce Handa, Eric Wilson, Linda Dell, Louise Brooks, Charlene Dickinson, and Trig Soleim for working on this project.
Our Club’s signature fund raising event is Breakfast with Santa. Each year, we serve a pancake breakfast at the Lucky Lab in Multnomah Village. Santa attends the event, and local children can get their picture taken with the elf. Proceeds from the event support various children’s and neighborhood charities. A special thanks to members of the Key Clubs from the Lake Oswego and Ida Wells-Barnett High Schools.
In October, members of the SW Hills Kiwanis Club helped with maintenance at the Mount Hood Kiwanis Camp. Our Club is an avid support of this children’s charity.
